In '24, it's thirty years since Allan Olsen & his band, Norlan, released the formidable double live-CD, "Rygter Fra Randområderne" (Rumors from the Outskirts). In 2024, Allan Olsen will assemble a new band - a "new" Norlan - and embark on a tour to perform "Rygter Fra Randområderne" again, from one end of the country to the other. After all, it's an anniversary.

In '24, it's thirty years since Allan Olsen & his band, Norlan, released the formidable double live-CD, "Rygter Fra Randområderne" (Rumors from the Outskirts).

The record was recorded in a hurry. Allan O. had moved his suitcase to Ireland and only returned to play the 6 concerts that would form the basis for the release. The production itself was handled by Jan Vinther, Johs Stærk, and Knud Møller. And they did an excellent job.

"Rygter Fra Randområderne" was Grammy-nominated, and most people knowledgeable in such matters would say that it is among the best and most cohesive live releases in Denmark.

In 2024, Allan Olsen will assemble a new band - a "new" Norlan - and embark on a tour to perform "Rygter Fra Randområderne" again, from one end of the country to the other. After all, it's an anniversary...

The band assembled for the tour is:
Rune Kjeldsen: Guitar and other string instruments
Mikkel Damgaard: Keyboards
Peter Kjøbsted: Bass
Mads Andersen: Drums and percussion

About his new lineup, Allan Olsen says:
"It will be fun to tour with a band again after a 6-year break. These guys can really play, I know that - and I think they are fun to travel with. The latter is just as important to me..."

As known, "Rygter Fra Randområderne" includes more Olsen classics than any other album cover. Audience favorites such as "Mergelgraven," "Gajoverden," "Vi lå i jo Herning," "Rimmerby Strand," "Op til Alaska," and many more. They are all there, the old ones written thirty years ago.

And unlike Olsen's many years of practice: No specific setlist or order - well, there's not much to dice about this time: "Rygter Fra Randområderne" - played intact as on the record & live.
