The world is out of balance. That’s a hard truth we must acknowledge. But thankfully, music brings us together - and World Citizen Band is living proof of that. Now in their 12th year, this group continues to unite the world’s musical and cultural diversity through expressive fusion jazz, infused with unmistakable elements of blues, rock, Latin, and samba. The incredibly tight-knit World Citizen Band has released two critically acclaimed albums, with a third on the way. Drawing inspiration from legends like McCoy Tyner and Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers, the band guarantees a musical celebration bursting with raw energy, deep grooves, and ritual rhythms. It’s world music that speaks to everyone – no matter where you’re from. The lineup is as global as their sound: Danish bassist Kenneth Dahl Knudsen, Israeli-American saxophonist Uri Gurvich, Argentine-German guitarist Ramiro Olaciregui, Spanish pianist Marcos Merino, and Costa Rican-American drummer Rodolfo Zuniga.
