If you take a redneck, a preacher's son, and a big city blues singer, mix them on a night under the full moon, and throw them into a large room with plenty of beer, wine, and people of all ages and genders, you get something magical: Voodoo Saints.

Three personalities from Danish and foreign scenes who fully master the art of grabbing attention from an audience accustomed to the best: a country bumpkin who can shoot his own dinner and then play the banjo and sing about it, a preacher's son who has seen the light in the form of all things good from New Orleans, and a big city blues singer who can captivate an audience whether they're from Birkerød or Berlin.

Three egos that have sworn a sacred and consistent oath: We will entertain with all the voodoo we can conjure up and avoid becoming either unfriendly or complacent along the way. Instead, we will raise the roof while keeping our feet firmly on the ground. In a touching, raw, and well-executed manner, we will bring the dead to life, so when the saints go marching in, it's the Voodoo Saints leading the way. Not a dry eye in the house. Amen. The ritual is performed with both classics and original songs - and it'll damn well be in both Danish and English.

Thorbjørn Risager, HP Lange, and Esben Just are the Voodoo Saints. A sacred gospel written with blues and rock'n'roll, spelled with gospel and pieced together with heart. A lifetime on stage boiled down to 2 x 45 minutes plus a bit extra and an encore. What could possibly go wrong when the Voodoo Saints are in the house?
