The American piano prodigy Justin Kauflin has long since built a large global fan base. At a very young age, he was taken under the wing of the legendary producer Quincy Jones, and like his late mentor, he plays in a way that makes the angels sing. Together with Danish star bassist Thomas Fonnesbæk—who has toured extensively around the world and is known for his collaborations with artists such as Enrico Pieranunzi, Lars Jansson, Sinne Eeg, Aaron Parks and many others—great musical beauty emerges with every note. Whether they reach for jazz’s great giants such as Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, Michel Petrucciani, Brad Mehldau, Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen and Roy Haynes, or perform some of their own international hits, the result is always extraordinary. It will be an evening in the company of a world-class super duo.
