Psyched Up Janis

When Psyched Up Janis released their “difficult second album”, Beats Me, in 1997, following the successful debut Swell, it was received as anything but difficult. Critics responded with top marks, while the single “The Stars Are Out” became a major hit on Danish radio stations.

Gaffa gave the album six out of six stars, writing, among other things: “It is crystal clear that the band has delivered the best second but also the most difficult album from the generation of new bands that emerged like comets in 1993/94 and helped make the Danish rock scene more interesting. Beats Me is quite simply a formidable album in a Danish context, but also internationally.”

On the upcoming tour, the band says:

“We simply can’t wait to get back out there and play some rock for our loyal fans. And since we previously celebrated both the 20th and 30th anniversaries of Swell, we feel that the time has now come for our second album, Beats Me."
