A Circle Of Friends

It all started in 1972 at a spring concert at the music school, when a young Alex Nyborg Madsen felt that the stage was his true element. Since then, he has been a constant presence in the Danish music scene – from heavy metal to americana – and now the circle is complete with his new band: A Circle Of Friends.

Call it americana, roots, alt-folk, or alt-country – the sound is primarily acoustic, hand-played, and centered around the good song. The love of folk and country has always been simmering beneath the surface. With acoustic instruments and a deep love for folk and country at the core, the band plays hand-crafted music with stories you can sing, dance, and drink to. The music draws on americana, alt-country, and roots – but above all: the good songs are the main focus.

The band consists of younger musicians who share Alex’s passion for the genre. The sound is carried by acoustic string instruments – and the soul is never far away. Together they create a lively experience where the concert feels like a radio show – only with the music played live and the stories told straight from the heart.
