Experience Solsort together with her band. Together, they perform their poetic tribute to life and love, infused with reflection, through their Nordic folk songs.

Experience Solsort, the clear voice from Funen and DMA Folk-nominated singer Betina Følleslev, together with her band consisting of Rune Højmark (guitar, lap steel, mandolin, backing vocals), Line Felding (cello, autoharp, backing vocals), MC Hansen (acoustic guitar, backing vocals), and Jacob Chano Lundby (percussion, harmonium, backing vocals). Together, they perform their poetic tribute to life and love, infused with reflection, through their Nordic folk songs.

Behind Solsort is singer and songwriter Betina Følleslev, nominated in 2016 for a DMA Folk Award as Singer of the Year. The debut album Jeg husker det hele jeg husker ingenting (I Remember Everything I Remember Nothing) was released in 2017, and the title track was later included in 2020 as a community song in the 19th edition of the Højskolesangbogen (the Danish Folk High School Songbook). In 2022, the follow-up album Alting er levende (Everything is Alive) was released, featuring both new songs and interpretations of classics such as I Danmark er jeg født (In Denmark I Was Born).

On the album Alting er levende, the songs revolve around intimacy, love, nature, and the wondrous force of life. The title is taken from Midsommerbålet (The Midsummer Bonfire)—a song about the ancient Nordic tradition that helps us find our way back; back to what truly matters. The magic in everyday life. Closeness with loved ones. The celebration of nature, which both surrounds us and lives within us. And the fire—the all-consuming fire that cleanses and prepares the world for what is yet to come—on a midsummer’s night somewhere in Denmark.

Together with her dedicated group of musicians, Solsort has performed on stages across Denmark, including Tønder Festival, Musik og Præstø Fjord, Maskinehallen in Frederikshavn, Sulelængen in Magtenbølle, Århundredets Festival in Aarhus, Davinde Festival, and more. Over the past four years, Solsort has also played concerts for Levende Musik i Skolen (Live Music in Schools) with the production Solsort og Sangbogen. From this has emerged a powerful concert narrative about identity and community, and a selection of folk high school songs also finds its way onto the setlist when Solsort visits Folk for Folk in Svendborg.
