This is music that seamlessly merges the acoustic with the electronic, and with every note tells stories of remarkable artistic breadth. With a rarely heard sensitivity for beautiful melodies, they perform dreamlike jazz whose refined rhythms resonate deeply with every listener. Quite simply, it is breathtakingly beautiful music, seemingly made to be performed deep within a forest. So - as a reviewer wrote - dear audience: Go ahead!
The concert in Marielund Forest is Jazz6000’s sixth event under the title Jazz in the Deep, Quiet Forest. Previously, major jazz names such as Hvalfugl, Bremer/McCoy, Svaneborg Kardyb, Martin Fabricius Trio, and Gustaf Ljunggren & Emil de Waal have performed to sold-out audiences at what is probably Kolding’s most beautiful jazz venue.
Line-up:
Lars Fiil: synthesizer, piano, and composition
Nicolai Kaas Claesson: electric bass and effects
Siv Øyunn Kjenstad: drums
Jakob Sørensen: trumpet
