The album carries a timeless, nostalgic atmosphere, sounding as though it belongs to a bygone era, drifting from the horn of a gramophone—a return to a time when nothing more than a voice and a guitar could captivate an audience.
Drawing inspiration from iconic artists such as Elizabeth Cotten, Nick Drake, Paul Simon, and Édith Piaf, and following an impressive touring schedule of more than 50 concerts in 2025 across Denmark and internationally (including Tinderbox Festival, Hotel Cecil, Nær Festival, Aarhus Musikhus – Denmark, Folk Alliance International, SXSW – USA, and Trondheim Calling – Norway), Simone Tang established herself as a compelling new voice on the singer-songwriter scene.
She is now preparing to release the follow-up to her debut album. Her second record follows in the footsteps of the first: still intimate, centered primarily around guitar and vocals, stripped back to its essence, and recorded live to tape. While introducing a few new instruments into the sonic landscape, such as piano and clarinet, the songs remain deeply personal and relatable, drawing inspiration from artists including Molly Drake, Labi Siffre, Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, and others.
Singles from the upcoming album will be released in the autumn of 2026, ahead of the full album release.
