In the autumn of 2026, Shu-bi-dua 2.0 will embark on an extended tour of Denmark, with a concept that is crystal-clear and sharply put together with one goal in mind: to create true folk celebrations across the country. The concerts will be pure 78'er nostalgia, as every song from the band’s fifth studio release will make up the first part of the evening, before the grande finale kicks off with greatest hits from Shu-bi-dua’s, to put it mildly, impressive back catalogue.

“Our best album, if you ask us”: THE 78'EREN ALBUM RETURNS – LIVE!
If you ask passionate Shu-bi-dua fans about their favourite album, opinions will undoubtedly differ. For many, it’s like choosing between their own children. Are you into Album 3 with “Hvalborg”? Album 4 with “Vuffeli-vov”? Or perhaps Album 7 with “Midsommersangen”? All solid choices.

Among the members of the national orchestra, however, there’s no hesitation at all - the answer comes instantly: 78'eren. “It’s our best album, if you ask us,” says Shu-bi-dua legend Michael Hardinger.

“78'eren is the record where we really put the pedal to the metal,” says Michael Hardinger, highlighting three iconic songs that each in their own way define the greatness of the album. “‘Den røde tråd’ is our most well-known song, ‘Knuden’ is our funniest, and ‘Danmark’ is the country’s second-best national anthem.” “You’re not really allowed to sing that ‘the warm countries are shit’ anymore, because you wouldn’t want to offend the warm countries,” Hardinger points out. “But we're bloody well doing it anyway,” comes the booming chorus from the orchestra, which - just like on the big 'Shu-bi læums'-Tour in 2023 - will be joined by TV doctor and holder of an unofficial PhD in the Shu-bi-dua universe, Peter Qvortrup Geisling.

“The energy the boys release when they fire off all their classics simply can’t be explained from a medical perspective. It has to be experienced. We’re so looking forward to gathering three or four generations under the same roof and creating evenings together with you that you won’t soon forget,” says Dr. Geisling.
