The world is constantly moving. So is music. And the Rumpistol Ensemble is sure to move you. The band’s innovative genre blend of electronica, jazz, spacerock, and neoclassicism creates a highly electric space that calls for dance, pulse, and cosmic energy. Honestly, it’s hard not to move.

For over two decades, the band has raised the bar for what’s possible - and never has their music been more solid, stylish, and powerful than on their latest album, NEBULA (2025), which GAFFA awarded a full five stars. Expect an evening of shooting stars as Jens B. Christiansen, aka Rumpistol, and his unparalleled musical astronauts take us out into the outer reaches of jazz.

About Rumpistol
Since debuting in 2003, Rumpistol has developed into one of his generation’s most curious electronic composers. In recent years, his music has moved in a more vulnerable and sensual direction - a journey that began with the neoclassical album After the Flood (2020), created during a period of stress, when the computer had to be set aside in favor of piano and strings.

This approach evolved on Isola (2022) and reached its full expression on Going Inside (2023) - a work designed for inner journeys and psychedelic therapy.

In parallel, Rumpistol has also made his mark as part of Kalaha (winner of both the Danish Music Award and the Carl Prize) and KALEIIDO, which received the Carl Prize for Jazz Composer of the Year in 2024.

Line-up:
Jens B. Christiansen – synths, grand piano, beats & lap steel
Sven Dam Meinild – wind instruments
Arendse Nordtorp – violin
Frederik Bülow – drums
