Rigmor is a Danish-language indie rock band consisting of Sarah Wichmann, Oliver Stewart, Victor Sousa, and Lasse Lykke. The band combines poetic lyrics – originally inspired by Michael Strunge – with the feeling of being part of a generation searching for meaning in the meaningless, where melancholy blends with life euphoria.

At the center is Sarah Wichmann’s distinctive and clear voice, which carries the poetic lyrics through expansive spaces and organic soundscapes. The hand-played music creates a sense of togetherness and contains songs about life’s joys and sorrows, about light and darkness.

Live, Rigmor has established itself as one of Denmark’s strongest new acts. Since 2020, Rigmor has released critically acclaimed albums and played countless sold-out concerts across Denmark, where communal singing has spontaneously emerged in several places. They have toured throughout the Nordic countries and gained international attention with a live session in collaboration with the renowned American radio station KEXP, which has so far been viewed more than 100,000 times.

In karla.k’s childhood home, pop music was frowned upon - but even though composers like John Williams, Joe Hisaishi, and the Swedish indie darling Miss Li were her greatest idols, she was still so drawn to the forbidden genre that she saved up her pocket money for a used iPod and secretly listened to Ariana Grande. It is precisely in this tension - between the complexity of film composition and the directness of pop - that karla.k can be found.

When her sister surpassed her in piano lessons, karla.k decided to become a producer and set up a small studio inside her wardrobe. Armed with a Zoom recorder and GarageBand, she began creating a world of her own. There, she explored the grandeur of her favorite film scores, woven together with introspective pop songs about loneliness, longing, and the feeling of missing something you can’t quite put into words.
