Anna, Emil and Jeppe met in Odense eight years ago and discovered that they were made for each other. However, the creative energy of their new friendship was only truly unleashed during a subsequent summer-house trip, which ended up defining their future. There, their entrepreneurial egos transformed from running in different directions like three wild horses into running together as a team. They went from being envious of one another to respecting each other, redirecting their individual strengths towards the collective. Within a short period of time, they had written 10 songs. Once the boundaries were removed, this grew into 100 songs over the course of a year.

Their debut album produced a couple of radio hits, particularly the single “Hvad vil du ha’”, after which the band wrote the World Cup song “Vi gør det hele igen” for the Danish women’s national football team.

The band has performed live numerous times, and in particular their appearance at SPOT Festival, as well as supporting acts such as Love Shop and performing at summer festivals including Smukfest, Wonderfestiwall, Jelling and Midtfyn, has opened several doors for them.

In 2026, the trio is embarking on a new chapter with the release of new songs across several EPs, which will ultimately be brought together as an album.

Anna – vocals, guitar
Anna grew up in Esbjerg with her father’s fascination for American hot-rod cars, with rockabilly and Lynyrd Skynyrd playing on the stereo. A concert by The Police in Aarhus, however, became a turning point in her life. That same day, she bought a guitar and began pursuing her dreams.

Anna has also been the drummer in a punk band and, at a young age, had green hair, studs and a mohawk, rebelling against her cosy, middle-class upbringing.

Her inspirations include: Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush, Jack Antonoff, Taylor Swift, Lorde, Anne Linnet, Linda Perry, Portishead, Bruce Springsteen, The Cure and Fleetwood Mac.

Emil – bass, guitar, keyboards
Like Anna, Emil grew up during his teenage years with Green Day, whose combination of energy and melody left a lasting impression.

“My dad took me to a Kashmir concert when I was 11, and it completely blew me away.”
Emil grew up in a family of schoolteachers and was sent to piano lessons in kindergarten with the rather strict Lilian. He later picked up his father’s newly purchased guitar, which revealed a new direction for Emil.

At the age of 16, in true crowd-surfing fashion, he won the title of Best Guitarist at an Emergenza music competition. Eventually, however, it was the bass guitar that Emil truly fell in love with.

Emil plays under the influence of: Royal Blood, The Big Bang, D-A-D, Kashmir, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Simon & Garfunkel, Bonnie Light Horseman, GoldFish, Green Day, Diana Krall, Chet Baker and The Beatles.

Fräulein Jeppe – drums
Like Emil, Jeppe grew up in Odense somewhere in the world of music, and he was already tapping away before he could walk. At the age of 10, his heart truly began beating for the drums when he started taking lessons.

Shortly afterwards, his parents spent their limited student grants on a drum kit, and his course was set.

Since meeting Emil and Anna eight years ago, Jeppe has developed the band’s rhythmic foundation, particularly during the pandemic, when he sometimes played drums for up to five hours a day because the band was unable to meet and play together.

His inspirations include: Fleetwood Mac, Radiohead, Stanley Donwood, Michael Strunge, Kate Bush, Future Islands, Patti Smith, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie and Prince.

The name : Fräulein
Pronounced : frøjlajn

Despite the umlaut and diminutive ending in the name, the band is thoroughly Danish.

They had been invited to meetings with several record labels but had yet to come up with a band name when an incoming text message from a female friend in Germany was mentioned while they were walking up the stairs to one of the meetings.
