Claus Hempler

Since his debut with the band Fielfraz in 1990, and most recently with the critically acclaimed Kufferten Fuld Af Mursten in 2019, Claus Hempler has cemented his position as one of Denmark’s most distinctive and effortlessly stylish singers. Early in his career, he established himself as a singular voice on the Danish music scene, and over the years, his deeply personal solo releases have earned him a devoted following among both audiences and fellow musicians.

The 2019 release marked a turning point in his career. His first album recorded in Danish brought a new sense of intimacy to his music and propelled tracks such as “Jeg Drømmer Om En Sang,” “Op” and “Navnet Er Hempler” into regular rotation on radio and streaming platforms. In the years since, Hempler has played to sold-out audiences across Denmark, culminating in, among other highlights, 13 sold-out concerts at Hotel Cecil in Copenhagen.

In spring 2026, Claus Hempler released the single “JuniorSenior,” followed by the album Ordensduks I Ingenmandsland. The album has already received several glowing reviews, including a five-heart rating from the Danish newspaper Politiken.

Claus Hempler has received numerous accolades throughout his career, including two Steppeulven Awards (Album of the Year and Lyricist of the Year) and two Carl Awards (Composer of the Year and Lyricist of the Year), as well as the Dan Túrell Medal and the F.P. Jac Memorial Grant. Spring 2025 marked yet another milestone in an already remarkable career.
