CONCERT AT 12:00
Baryl is present in their contemporary moment in an empathetic, dynamic, and universal way. They fearlessly play, exploring the contrast between tight compositions and completely free collective improvisations.

Since their debut in 2021, Baryl has made a mark on the Danish jazz scene. They won the "Jazz Competition" in spring 2022 and have played sold-out concerts during Winter Jazz 2023. Politiken wrote: "In a few years, Baryl could end up becoming one of the country's most sought-after groups. They are certainly laying the foundation for something really big." Recently, they released the album "What the Hell is Happening?" where Information wrote: “Even though the band name connotes mischief, BARYL only plays rogue tunes of the most enjoyable kind. The music is quirky and ambitious without becoming either silly or pretentious.”

The world is constantly changing and evolving, and in 2024 and beyond, Baryl has decided to embrace just that, emerging in a new format: the quintet. From January 2024, we will experience Baryl as a quintet with 2 saxophones, both of which have long been part of Baryl, making it the natural next step for the band.
