In a sound universe of nostalgic 80s synthesizers and indie-influenced rhythms, they emerge from the underground onto the stage. In this space, you'll clearly feel the youthful energy and power, manifested in sharp vocals and an energy-carrying band. With catchy melodies and tempo-filled tracks, they engage the audience in KALASET's musical universe.

Behind KALASET are five young individuals originally from Middelfart, now living collectively in a small town a little outside Skanderborg, where they cultivate music together.

The lyrics are in Danish and contain deeper thoughts and reflections of the world we live in. They write about youth, silence, restlessness, and their dreams, aiming to make an impact on people.

The band draws stylistic threads to groups like Superheroes, Broken Social Scene, and The Cure, delivering it with a contemporary blend of dreampop and indie rock. With Danish lyrics, the songs create a reflective and honest universe where you can feel that these young people really have something on their minds.

KALASET consists of four boys and one girl – Jakob Rønn (drummer), Morten Holm Ørsager (lead singer and guitarist), Anders Mygind (guitarist), Sidsel Due (pianist and backing singer), and Henrik Skov (bassist). The band played their first notes together at the end of 2018 and have been heading towards the stars since. Kalaset has already won several music competitions, including the Fyn Emergenza festival, the talent program Quasar, and Battle of Bands. Additionally, the band has warmed up for Simon Kvamm's latest project HUGORM.

The band still has big dreams, but they also have the talent and the will to make them come true. "Young Danish indie rock group can go all the way to the Orange Scene," a five-star review from Gaffa for their Uhørt concert.
