With an almost three-decade-long career, Boston-based blues guitarist Monster Mike Welch is an experienced veteran on the international blues scene. He earned the nickname "Monster Mike" from actor and Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd at the young age of 13, and since then, his career has only progressed.

Welch has received three consecutive Blues Music Award nominations from the Blues Foundation for Instrumentalist-Guitar since 2016. He also earned a Boston Music Award for Best Blues Performance and has been inducted into the Rhode Island Music Hall Of Fame.
