DR Big Band’s iconic and Grammy-winning chief conductor Miho Hazama has taken not only Denmark, but the entire world by storm. She recently released the long-awaited album Frames, where she, inspired by her predecessors in the conductor role - Ib Glindemann, Thad Jones, Ole Kock Hansen, and Jim McNeely - has created new and grand compositions that represent a quantum leap into a new era of big band music.

Rarely has the baton been as securely held as in the hands of Japanese conductor Miho Hazama. This applies both when the band performs her new compositions and when it revisits iconic works from the orchestra’s 60-year history. Denmark and DR Big Band have certainly made a remarkable coup with Miho Hazama.
